NEKO CHAN AND HIMAWARI

Hey hey, guess who's back? Yep, me! With another painting and another story.

So, it's already 2025… and did I post anything for New Year? Nope. Why? Because I’m lazy. But you probably knew that already. 😂

Buuuut, in my defense, I’ve actually been swamped with work these past few weeks, so I just didn’t get the time to post my last painting.

Anyway, here it is—TA-DA!

A cat! Or as we say in Bangla, beral. 🐱

You know, I realized I had never painted an animal on a canvas before. And then, out of nowhere, it hit me—why not paint a cat?

Now, don’t get me wrong, I’m 100% a dog person. But hey, cats are cute too, y’know.

Oh, and the idea? Stole—uh, I mean, borrowed—it from Pinterest. That app is basically my encyclopedia. Search for anything, and boom, there it is.

So yeah, that’s the story behind this one! What do you think?

Oh, and guess what? The cat is chilling on a whole sunflower field. Like, what more do you want?

(I tried to paint this in a style inspired by Sir Van Gogh..)

Acrylics on Canvas Board (10*12) inches.

Alright, folks, that’s a wrap for tonight!

See you soon… maybe in two months? No no, I’ll be back sooner. (I think. 😂)

Yours truly,

Subarna

NOTES

-

Oh, and if anyone’s wondering about the meaning behind the title of this painting—Neko-chan and Himawari—here you go:

Neko means cat in Japanese, and Himawari means sunflower.
