NEPTUNE’S MEMORY

Hello folks,

How are you guys?

Here I am again with my new painting—this time, something a little different.

So, last week I was just scrolling through Instagram and saw this artist making a full-on sculpture with proper clay. Like, legit using a chisel.

And boom...I was like, “Why can’t I try this?”

But as much as I love my impulsive art ideas, I also know that sculpting is not my cup of iced tea. Or even warm tea, honestly.

So I started hunting for something that feels sculpture-y but doesn’t require a hammer or, you know… talent in clay or stone carving.

And that’s when I stumbled upon this magical thing called air dry clay.

And obviously, I bought one. Because, you know... who needs self-control anyway?

The result? Well, it's what you see below.

I named it Neptune’s Memory.

Well, don’t ask me why... I highly doubt the sea god would want to have a memory like this anyway.

As for the painting details:

Medium: Acrylics

Surface: Canvas board

Size: 8×10 inches

3D structures: Done using Fevicryl Mouldit (air-dry clay)

Used Faber-Castell pearl colors for that extra sheen
.
.

And that’s all for today, folks!

See you again in few months..

Yours truly,

Subarna
